Legal and policy memoranda considered

President Danny Faure chaired a scheduled meeting of the Cabinet on WednesdayJune 3 at which a number of legal and policy memoranda were considered.
Cabinet was briefed on the easing of restrictions implemented as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic for the month of June.
Cabinet approved the policy for Grade Repetition and Acceleration for Primary and Secondary Schools.
Cabinet also approved the introduction of Levy on Empty Cans and Transfer of Excise Levy to the Environment Protection Act.
Cabinet approved for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture, the Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development, the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Fishing Authority, and the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Maritime Academy.
Cabinet was briefed on the Gainful Occupational Permit Framework related to COVID-19 pandemic.ÌýÌý
