President appoints Commission of Inquiry

State House has announced that further to the complaint of Wavel Ramkalawan, leader of the opposition, regarding the search of his luggage by officers of the Anti-narcotics Bureau (ANB) of the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Police at the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ International Airport on Saturday February 8, President Danny Faure has decided to appoint a Commission of Inquiry into the allegation of wrongful search.
Justice Fiona Robinson has been appointed to undertake the inquiry and report to the President on the matter within 14 days.
