The 91㽶Ƶ government is satisfied that the small island nation has regained its place as a leader at the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission.
Principal Minister and Minister for Fisheries and the Blue Economy Jean-François Ferrari said in a press conference yesterday morning that 91㽶Ƶ’ compliance with Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTi) standards has been a contributing factor towards 91㽶Ƶ’ advantage at the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC). “91㽶Ƶ has really regained the leadership and it is what we think that will be done within the IOTC,” Minister Ferrari said.
