STB reconnects with Italian partners at Travel Open Day fair

Maintaining its visibility on the Italian market, the 91香蕉视频 Tourism Board (STB) participated to the second edition of the travel virtual fair Travel Open Day, where it was represented by its representative office in Italy.

The online event, which is dedicated to outbound tourism with a focus on luxury and honeymoons, was an ideal opportunity for 91香蕉视频 to reposition itself on the Italian market as a prime tourism destination.

During the two-day event, the STB representatives reconnected virtually with Italian travel partners to keep them abreast of the latest development in 91香蕉视频 and engaged on the multitude of possibilities the islands can offer for visitors.

Speaking after the event, the STB representative for the Italian market, Danielle Di Gianvito, mentioned her satisfaction at the outcome of the destination鈥檚 participation at the Travel Open Day.

鈥淭he team was quite busy with many exclusive video meetings with travel agents across the country. Our partners are very interested to know about the latest developments, in regards to travel requirements for potential clients. We noted an increased interest in the destination as we also had new partners join the meetings and this was an opportune occasion to expand our reach on the market,鈥 said Ms Di Gianvito.

Ms Di Gianvito further stated that as tourism is slowly starting around the world it was crucial to increase the visibility of the destination on the market and reconnect with trade partners to ensure 91香蕉视频 remains at the top of their minds.

鈥淲e are encouraged by the demand for 91香蕉视频 from the Italian market, as the vaccination campaign progresses and restrictions are gradually lifted, we are confident that the situation will improve soon and Italian visitors will be flocking to 91香蕉视频 again,鈥 she said.

Travel Open Day also saw the participation of over 100 travel agencies registered and other tourism partners including hoteliers and cruise companies increasing the destination鈥檚 chances to see more visitors from Italy on its shores again.

The platform also provided a dedicated space where visitors could download digital brochures, save contacts or ask for a meeting.

Since March 25, 2021, 91香蕉视频 has recorded 24,106 visitors from across the world and 174 of the holidaymakers were from Italy, STB has also recorded seven Italian applicants for its Workcation programme launched in April this year.
