Lockdown Poem IX |01 July 2020

Dreams-upon-Avon
Ìý
What would The Bard of Avon
pen during lockdown
Ìý
‘To be, or not to be, that is the question’
‘Now is the winter of our discontent’
‘What light through yonder window breaks’
‘Nothing will come of nothing’
‘We are such stuff as dreams are made on…’
‘All the world’s a stage…’

Birthday wishes for The Bard
on World Book and Copyright Day
Time-travelling along the
banks of the River Avon;
On narrow boats amidst the swans–
Encounters with Ophelia, Clarence,
Mercutio, Cordelia,
Prospero, Rosalind
Ìý
Time is the jester.
Ìý
And with each creatively-inspired
moment
Celebrate the wit of
The Bard
in cyber recitals
and enactments.
