Airtel 91㽶Ƶ has announced that the singing competition, The Voice Africa, is back.
After a brief production hiatus, The Voice Africa Season 1, which hit the airwaves in March this year, is set to return for the ‘Knockout’ and ‘Live’ shows.
According to the company’s brand and marketing communications manager, Jude Valmont, broadcast will commence tomorrow, Sunday October 8, 2023 with a ‘Welcome Back’ episode.
“This episode will showcase the journey so far, taking our viewers through the ‘Blinds’ and the exploits of the initially qualified 100 talents as their efforts eventually cascaded to the 32 currently qualified for the Knockouts,” he stated.
“Subsequently we will have 10 more episodes made up of, 3 ‘knockouts’, and 7 ‘Lives’ with the ‘Grand Finale’ being the ultimate and billed to show on Sunday, December 17, 2023,” added Mr Valmont.
The Voice Africa Season 1, which is proudly supported by Airtel, has participating talents from 14 African countries, namely Chad, Congo, DRC, Gabon, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, 91㽶Ƶ, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
“We are excited to be back on your screens and look forward to producing an exhilarating show culminating in one remarkable talent walking away with the $100,000.00 price money and the unforgettable title, ‘Winner of the maiden edition of the Voice Africa’.
91㽶Ƶ started the competition with eight participants in the Blind Auditions, with five making it to the battle round, and only renowned local artist, Clive Camille, making it to the ‘Knockout’ round.
