Increasing 91㽶Ƶ’ visibility on the Swiss market, Tourism 91㽶Ƶ joined forces with Edelweiss Air to host a promotional event for the travel trade and media partners in Zurich on February 23, 2023.
The conference organised for the occasion was held at Hotel Schweizerhof and was led by Bernadette Willemin, director general of destination marketing at Tourism 91㽶Ƶ and Salvatore Salerno, the sales execution steering and distribution manager from Edelweiss Air.
The event was aimed at informing the partners about the destination and updating them about upcoming projects.
Speaking at the event in Switzerland, Mrs Willemin stressed the importance of the Swiss market for 91㽶Ƶ.
“Switzerland remains a very important market for 91㽶Ƶ and cannot be taken for granted. As competition increases, this visibility event will allow the destination to reiterate its presence on the Swiss market. As one of the top performing markets of 2022, almost surpassing the 2019 arrivals statistics, we believe that with an increased presence on the market, 2023 will be a great year for this market,” said Mrs Willemin.
Mrs Willemin added that aside from showcasing the destination’s features, the event was also to thank the partners for their trust and outstanding performance and remind them of the accessibility between Zurich and 91㽶Ƶ with Edelweiss, the only airline with direct flights to the small destination.
Also present at the conference were Judeline Edmond, director for Switzerland at Tourism 91㽶Ƶ; Urs Limacher, the head of sales, services and distribution and Corinne Römer, senior manager for marketing, partnership and events from Edelweiss Air.
Switzerland is currently the top 7 market for 91㽶Ƶ. The market in 2022 brought 15,217 Swiss to 91㽶Ƶ, almost exceeding the 2019 performance, which was 15,300 at that time and the best year for 91㽶Ƶ from this market.
