91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will co-host an Asean Africa forum in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ this year.
The forum will aim at sharing the upcoming prospects to foster economic growth.
The proposal was put forward by Asean’s secretary-general Dato Lim Jock Hoi following talks he had with the Minister for Foreign Affairs & Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, at the Asean headquarters in Jakarta yesterday.
The Asean secretary-general, who was recently on a working visit to 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, recalled his dialogue with President Wavel Ramkalawan and the cabinet of ministers in December 2021, reiterating his intention to follow up on the topics discussed.
Minister Radegonde assured the secretary general of 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’ commitment to continuing to enhance relations with Asean and the individual member countries of the organisation.
Minister Radegonde was accompanied by Nico Barito, 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’ envoy to Asean.
